In this paper, the author presents the images of flowers as a way to connect with relatives and to find a sense of belonging. Chapter 1 is about the motivation of the study and the structure of the paper. In chapter 2, based on theories, the author explores the evolution of flowers in the context of art and how flowers can be used as a language to convey thoughts and emotions. "Empathy" is examined, and the interaction between subject and object is also analyzed. Expository work is another way of interpreting emotional patterns. As a vehicle for attachment, it is extended to the relationship between the creator and the work in artistic creation.

Mezzotint is a technique that expresses delicacy and softness in printmaking, revealing a delicate and elegant quality from black ink, and its fine layers are built on complex procedures and sketching skills. The third chapter introduces the author's analysis of the characteristics of the printmaking medium. Chapter 4 deals with the creative practice. Using flowers as the main image, the series is created by combining the delicate technique of mezzotint with the variation of ink color. By transforming the form of flowers into an abstract and sensual psychological state, the visual representation is conveyed through imagination. The "Somnambulist of Floral Atrament" is a series of works in which the author transfers the emotions of flowers from his memory and brings out the calm atmosphere of ink color through the delicate layers of the prints, presenting the contrast of the author’s own state of mind through the mezzotint technique.
