Based on personal emotional experience and creative practice, this paper focuses on exploring the connection between artistic creation and individual emotions, especially the affect and influence of negative emotions such as depression, anxiety, and fear on painting creation, as well as the healing effect of painting creation on psychology.
This paper is divided into the following three aspects:First, the theoretical framework of this creative study is constructed by clarifying the connection between emotions and painting.Secondly, thisstudyanalyzes the content, form, thoughts and feelings of specific artists and their works, and discusses the artists' growth experience, style formation and creation characteristics, in order to provide specific and effective guidance for the author's own creative practice in the future.The third part is the author's concrete explanation of his own artistic creation. From the three aspects of creative motivation, creative practice and analysis of the works, the author elaborates on the conception of the four series ofhis works: "Loneliness", "Melancholy", "Obstacle" and "Nightmare". The author discussed the concept of the theme, the selection of media and the setting of techniques, as well as the interpretation of the creative meaning and content techniques of each work.
With the opportunity of this creative practice and thesis writing, the author has made a profound review and reflection on his past creative process; meanwhile, he has proposed an outlook on his future creative direction: the essence of painting art is the betting of emotions and the presentation of thoughts. Art Creation is not catering to others but using artistic expression to face the soul and reality, to convey one's own artistic philosophy and zeitgeist.
