Memory, a part of it is tugged by consciousness or subconsciousness, impressed for something, being revealed in the slots of daily life. The intention of this essay is to go through the process of interpretation of my own works, so as to restore the memory behind the objects, leading by some of my emotions or some significant little objects. Contract to the present tense, I mirror the past experiences or memories to compose a memorial retrospect. Dream consciousness, the experience of another time and space, echoes with the time and space here and now. Thus I explore the subtle interweaving changing of memory and subconsciousness, that is, the state of dream consciousness.
The frame of the essay: in the beginning, I gave reasons to my motives, methods and goal of this study. I focused on the relations among memory, memory of body and subconsciousness. For the first chapter, I drew the sphere of the essay and the substance of my emotions, through the colors of sticker dots, texture intensifying, and coexistence of memories, to construct the thoughts of my aesthetic dimensions and arrangements of space. Secondly, through my personal growth process, I translated my memory’s thread of thought by the stickers; through the restoration of memory, body and dream consciousness, I re-inspected how the personal thinking was brought into my works. Thirdly, I aimed at the interacting between exhibition space and my own memories, recollecting three distinct exhibition spaces. The memory was recalled in specific space. I restored the deep memory at the bottom of my mind, through solid objects, past images, and memories.
