Healing is the creative core behind the creation of "The Trilogy of the Inner Landscape"

With the intention of empowering the inner voice through original creation, "The Trilogy of the Inner Landscape—Study of Cho, Min-Chu’s Self-Healing Works", is my attempt to explore abstract expression and surrealist elements through inner landscapes: "Dreamscapes", "Mirrorscapes", and "Memoryscapes" to heal the pain of personal trauma and long-term "depression". Each of the three stages of creative self-healing approaches the core of the inner being, digs deeper into the unknown image of the mind, explores the connection between creation and the inner spirit of the individual, and looks forward to healing of the body and mind through creative self-healing.

"Dreamscapes" series: Color is activated for emotional expression, with the use of automatism techniques to trickle and splash color, unconsciously and intuitively. Colors flow repeatedly, in large quantities and for long periods of time, onto the canvas to weave unexpected imagery. Simple bright colors evoke long-frozen thoughts, the flowing colors give warmth to my rigid window into the world, and I rediscover the passionate vitality of the self.

"Mirrorscapes" series: Abstract sentiments in one's heart and soul are interpreted by borrowing the forms and spirits of nature, selecting images that transcend reality as the form of expression, empathizing and projecting one's thoughts into the virtual natural scenery. Through the process of creation, one can feel the power of nature and creation, "art" to observe nature, "art" to see oneself, and to find the tranquility and composure in life.

"Memoryscapes" series: Using a theme of retracing childhood memories, the series travels through the past, collates memories into image maps, reconstructs and digs deeper into one's memories, engages in dialogue with the mind, tries to find an outlet for inner emotions, and heals, transcends and reverses the trauma in memory. It induces society to reflect on the trauma of “Tongyangxi” (child brides) and the space for women to grow and develop, which has been neglected in the past.
