“Punk” trend originates from the United State of America and then spreads to the United Kingdom around. The background of “Punk” is mainly that, in the past, young people were extremely dissatisfied with the economical environment of society which lacks the personality and youth. Therefore, they attempted to express their suppressive thoughts. Hence, the thoughts rose from the depths of their heart and got out of the control, which create the subculture belong to themselves and found the alternative vision. Under the disregard standard and principle of society condition, they had the courage to show themselves. British fashion designer “Vivienne Westwood” further extends the subculture to become her origin of creativity and thoroughly apply “the spirit of Punk” on the clothing design, which has been greatly approved by people from the past until now.

The motivation of this thesis is based on “the spirit of Punk” and focus on the concept of Punk. We try to investigate the background, social stratum and the art of clothing design and combine with the modern viewpoint to become the theme of this illustration. These creations mainly present the line painting and apply melodious lines to describe the slim posture of woman. In addition, we stack the lines to express the three-dimensional variation of hairs which possess the floating feeling, and reveal the unique personality of Punk creation by using the black and white figures. In accordance with the exaggerated Punk style, we also combine with the concepts of Western thought and Eastern grain to be applied on the creations. Finally, this thesis will provide the new visions which stand for the Punk trend and show the uniqueness, personality and fashion of modern illustration.
