“Touch·Light Song” interactive sound installation attempts to combine music with technology. It adopts Arduino, Max MSP, LED and other technical media to break the established cognition of traditional instruments and the framework of music, audiences are invited to touch the installation to create sounds, it enables everyone to play with music. After the playing, audiences can even listen to their own sound creation.
In the second chapter, the literature review explores the development of sound art and interactive sound installation, presents the idea that “everyone can play with music”, and in the end, introduces the concept and method of the installation. Through this artwork and research, I hope to demonstrate the possibility to create an interactive sound installation that is different from traditional instruments.
