《Our Moon》is a science fiction short film, which is about the engineers who were helpless and isolated in outer space. In order to survive, the main character tried to attract the rescue team’s attention, he built a distress signal which looked like a moon. Although the situation was too frustrated to survive, he still kept his faith until he was rescued by an accident. In this confrontation with the accident in his life, the character did his best and tried to use limited resources to complete the mission.

This work focuses on parents who sacrifice themselves for their children, and try to reflect the change of people’s mind when they are in a dilemma. Accidents are not always bad; to the contrary, the point is on how people deal with them.

In this work, it’s my first attempt to show complex emotion of characters in animation. It’s very challenging to make it believable. In the animation production process, I get a lot of improvement in animation skills, ability to co-work and communicate with teammates.
