Hindemith’s Horn Sonata was composed with traditional structures and 20th harmonic technique. The sonata was fused with Hindemith’s musical theory and thought. Via research on this piece, Horn players were able to understand how Hindemith handling the cooperation of French Horn and piano and showing the performance of the horn. This Sonata is also a challenge to the teamwork on the horn and piano. There are three movements in this piece.
The first movement was composed in the sonata form. The second movement was composed in the song form. The third, final movement was composed in variation with two theme.
