This article is introducing the development of violin technique in 19th century, and take the violin concerto No.2 3rd mov.(La campanella) by Nicolo Paganini as an example.

The study contains the background and the improvement of musical instruments at that age, as well as the analyzes and researches on violin technique improving made by many violinist of Italy, Germany and France from 16th to 19th Century. Virtuoso school became popularity and reach its high peak till Nicolo Paganini appeared.

The author analyses the technique of " La campanella " , and offers some specific methods on practicing.

When working on this article, the author paid most efforts on " technique " through reading and practicing in person, and realizes that some problems of inadequate musical expression used to have could be generated without a

complete plan on technique training since the very beginning. Wish this understanding would lead to a upgrade in future

performance.
