This supplementary document aims to explore how the author internalizes sensory information and transforms it into music composition. It is divided into five chapters. The first chapter serves as an introduction, providing a comprehensive overview of the author's perception of music composition, focusing on the construction and thought process of composition, and discussing how materials are received, internalized, and rearticulated by the composer.

Following this, the process is further examined in two major categories. The second chapter, "Transformation of Sensory and Psychological Experiences," delves into how the author translates non-musical experiences into musical materials. The third chapter, "Differences and Connections between Eastern and Western Music," explores the unique concepts in Eastern music by looking into traditional music from China and Japan. Furthermore, through the techniques of the Guqin and Shakuhachi, it then examines the differences in musical expression between East and West, and how to integrate the two into the composition.

The fourth chapter focuses on the practical application of compositional philosophy and techniques, using four pieces from the composition recital as examples, Leap for Viola and Piano (2018/05), Chain for Flute and Two Violoncellos (2019/04), Two Billion Light-Years of Solitude for String Quartet (2019/12), and Flames for Flute, Clarinet, Violin, Violoncello and Percussion (2023/11). The fifth chapter serves as a conclusion, offering a reflection on this supplementary document and expressing hopes for future endeavors.
