Josephine Lang (1815-1880) was a representative of German female composers, composed nearly 300 Lieder, most of which were selected from the poems written by Reinhold Köstlin (1813-1856).In the nineteenth century, the traditional thinking and social background greatly restricted the music development of female composers. But in such an environment, Lang, through her hard work, finally made her work be compared with words such as "serious music" and "regular genre". She was born in a musical family, and under the influence of her mother and grandmother, she showed her musical talent in childhood. In the following career, she was helped by Mendelssohn, Ferdinand Hiller, and Stephen Heller, making her truly known to the audience. The author hopes that by analyzing the style, tonality, atmosphere, and creative background of his five Lieder " Gedenken mein ", " An einer Quelle ", " Vögelein ", " Die wandernde Wolke ", and " Seelied ", the reader can understand the creative style and harmony skills, and also provide composers with creative reference.
