By researching the background, structure of Violin Sonata in G major op.78, and the connection between it and the Lieder, which are Regenlied and Nachklang, this thesis shows more proper interpretation in performance.

This article includes three chapters. In first one, the brief introduction of Johannes Brahms and the creation background of this work are described. In chapter two, this thesis reveals performance of this work by analyzing composing method, including leading motive and so on. As mention in previous chapters, this sonata is derived from his lieder. Therefore, in final chapter, the comparison of techniques and interpretation between vocal and instrumental vision is shown.
