Jörg Widmann is the most talented artists in this generation, and above his works—Fantaise for clarinet solo is most popular solo piece both in competition and recital. This thesis paper is aim to analyze the interpretation of Fantasie for clarinet solo in style and performance ways. To begin with this paper will discuss Widmann’s life and his works style, then, what elements used in this solo piece and its musical forms, finally, comparing composer’s interpretation in different years of this pieces in performing video.
