Travel is an amazing way to live in different environments that give people a fresh insight and change visitors’ ordinary life. There are two ways of visual art expression along with travel:Chinese landscape painting which provides a kind of sofa travelling experience and a detailed nature description oriented Western landscape painting. Both of them arouse vivid creativity and emotion based on their own culture. People look at the paintings which make the viewer a collective visual memory and remind them the past events for evaluating and tasting.

Nowadays, modern technical civilization shortens our time and space immensely. The travelling activity also finds some basic changes and asks more efficient and convenient. Then a direct landscape painting imitated travel photos come into the market and satisfy the aesthetic feeling and the physical noting. Moreover, they can be displayed on the social media or public space. However, this stereo type images can kill the creative expression. Therefore, the author is looking for a new way of traveling painting. It bases on several travels as experiment objects with identifiable people and events, so the viewers or the co-travelers can easily figure out what the paintings intent and get more fun of evaluating. The works use a Montage way to combine and redirect the elements which include the travel companions, attractions and landmarks, the social-culture context and the narrative structure. Finally, these works will be arranged in a form of family photo album and become kind of private travel events and collections which can be displayed to friends.

In the process of creation, the key point is picking up images and restructures them. For more tension and impression I use the most representative image, then ignore minutiae and focus on the final picture. The author has three different concerns in works: The culture-based landscape painting, the interest oriented portraits, as well as the combination of the two former styles for a modern fashion. These attempts derive good comments among the companions and family. Actually, for keeping the particularity of the objects the author tends to use a more traditional way of visual expression and is failed to achieve a new sensitivity. It is a truly sorrow. Reviewing these works, my first intention is basically completed: creating a treasured, shareable, connecting people and movable travelling memory.
