Chopin wrote three piano sonatas , distinguish for the No.1 in c minor(op.4), No.2 in b flat minor(op.35) and the No.3 in b minor (op.58), and this thesis inquire into the No.3 piano sonata, in this sonata, Chopin makes use of many techniques and music element , so in spite of on the display of the piano technique or the tension of whole music all is very abundant and gorgeous!
This thesis has separated into three directions to analyze this sonata, first, created background include chopin’s life and musical period, the character of sonata in romantic period, and the background of this sonata; second, to analyze this sonata from musical form, melody, harmony, and the relation of the figuration in every movement; Third, to confer the technique and interpretation of performing.
This thesis focus on the interpretation of performing, so before several chapters included to create the background part ,musical analysis part, all prepare for interpretation of performing. This thesis focus on conferring difficult parts during my practice, solve difficult problems of technique, hope to be on giving musical performance more perfect interpretation.
