The author's family background is the motivation for the creation. With the intention, the author change the traditional hand-pulling technique of pottery making which called "Nantou method". The method of creation is based on literature and typical surveys, sorting and collecting forms by works ,analyzing the creative philosophy of artists with relevant backgrounds ,After summarizing and organizing become the author’s creative characteristics and creative philosophy, and uses traditional techniques to create my works.

The purpose is to turn practical pottery into non-practical pottery and get on artistic creation. The process can be divided into three stages.

Firstly, Explore the meaning and connotation of alteration from the molding pottery technique.

Secondly, Inheritance "Nantou method" and applied to modeling creation performance.

Thirdly, Interpreted “After the Alteration “with Nantou method and developed three series of creations.

Through the above three elements, and develop the first series is the impulse series, the second series is the relative series, and the third series is the origin series. the author uses "after the Alteration " as the core of ceramic creation, and considers that the change of clay form can lead to a deeper understanding of oneself, then create the appearance of works that belong to the author's own form, and have both practical functions and contemporary artistic value.
