This thesis focuses on Chopin's Ballade No. 4 in F minor. I divide my research into 5 chapters. Chapter 1 deals with the motivation and scope of my research, and the method I use in analyzing this work. Chapter 2 talks about Chopin's music style and his music idea toward his composition.

Chapter 3 focuses on the analysis of his composing style in Ballade No. 4. Chapter 4 seeks to understand deep through the music structure, modulations, harmonies, melodies, tempo and the use of pedal. Finally, I will make a conclusion by summarizing my research findings in chapter 5.
