This thesis consists of three parts: (1) the program notes of the“Solo Recital” written by the researcher (2) the program notes of the“Performance Recital”written by the researcher (3) the research paper presented by the researcher in the“Graduate Students’ Conference”.

The program of the Solo Recital includes:〈J. S. Bach《French Suite No.2 in c minor, BWV813》〉, 〈L. v. Beethoven《Piano Sonata in e minor, Op. 90》〉,〈R. Schumann《Fantasiestücke, Op. 12, No.1、2、3》〉,〈C.Chaminade《Concerto Etude for the Piano, Op. 35-2》〉.

The program of the Performance Recital includes: 〈G. Fauré《Dolly Suite, Op. 56》, for piano four hands〉, 〈M. Ravel《Ma Mère L’oye》, for piano four hands〉, 〈C. Saint-Saëns《Le carnaval des animaux》, for piano four hands〉.

The topic of the research paper being“A Preliminary Study on R. Schumann’s Fantasiestücke, Op. 12, No.1、2、3”, provides a preface, an introduction to the composer's life and works, historical background of “Character Piece” and musical analysis of the compositions.
