The Close-up is a work that combines personal experience, social observation,
and the reflection of our time. It originated from my question about the marriage
system, my observation of the psychological characteristics of single-parent children
in Taiwan, and my understanding of the features of our time. It tells a story about a
film school student making a documentary on a divorced couple, to display the
relationship dilemma of contemporary people caused by the escape mentality. I hope
the audience can have another look at our relationship problems after seeing this film,
and learn to be honest with ourselves and others in intimate relationships.
