This dissertation mainly discussed Yu-Hsun Liu’s solo exhibition in 2020, the Flowing Sculptures in Time. The author studied two artworks exhibited in the Taipei Fine Arts Museum, the You Choreograph by Chieh-Hua Hsieh and I-Fen Tung (2015) and Retrospective by Xavier Le Roy (2016). Through interviews and literature reading, the author attempted to understand artists’ creative thinking and technique. With these understandings, the author reflected on how the two elements – time and space – affects creativity, and organized her process of creation, including a series of creations from 2017 to 2020. Finally, the author focused on Flowing Sculptures in Time and discussed the initiation, adjustment, and analysis result of the process of performance. The analysis covers reflection on the movement of the body, including the photography and sculpture expression technique in the performance process, at the same time open up many new possibilities of creation.
