The expressional characters of inter-media installation include the dual extension of cross-media and cross-domain. In many of the characters of visional language , especially for ”immediacy of response” , “non-sequential access information” , “adaptability” , “feedback” , “options” , “bi-directional communication”, not only break through the confusions between art work and people who perceive but also display the outstanding aesthesis different from the classical art by applying on new technology and computer program language.

To begin with, this case study of creation is analyzed by Qualitative Research in connection with the process of development in new media art, style of creating, the logic of interactive installation and aesthetic theory.

Secondly, the practice of creating is included by digital image, interactive installation of media and so on. In the idea of creation, 〈Taipei Island〉, is full of elements of image taken in the landscape of Taipei city and buildings of Taipei. Try to mould the new Taipei-island image by combining with virtual, collage image and want to communicate with perceivers by interactive installation.

The comprehension of this art work is emphasized on the relationship between motion picture, sensory mechanism, and the cultural feedback of perceivers. Moreover, this art work even boldly predicts the image of this city one in the next one hundred year. This image not only indicates the doubt to reality but also is a fable-like irony of nowadays.
