Invention of photography technology influences the way of preserving things. Not only the painting, we can use photography to save what we see. Photography is a vision to freeze every moment. With the widespread application of photography, we usually use camera to record everything: beautiful scenery, our lover’s smile, puppy running on the lawn, etc. It becomes the best way to preserve our memory.

The objective of this study is to take objective images of New Objectivity Photography. And it extends another meaning between photography and beholder. By filming flowers frozen in the ice to symbolize the memories preservation. The artistic form of the expression is inspired by Cacioppo (Cacioppo, Berntson, Poehlmann, & Ito) who classify the positive emotion. The six positive emotion are Joy, Interest, Contentment, Pride, Gratitude and Love. This research has two series, which are the series of reservation and the series of memories. Preservation used an objective perspective to manifest the flower and the ice, which symbolize the memory is preserved in the ice. Memories tried to let us feel more emotional in the photography. It added some attributes about the memory in every photo. The spectator can feel the emotion behind the photography directly.

The research used the language of flowers to symbolize different memories. It reviews the memory’s meaning and its possibility. There are some points between the photography, ice and memories, that are worth a discussion among us.
