The theme of this thesis is to research the musical background, style, harmony, melody and interpretation of Chopin’s cello sonata in g minor, Op. 65.

 It will first address Chopin’s personal background and his music style, secondly the composition background and detail analysis of this cello sonata.

 Finally, through in-depth discussions of tempo, and technique of performing interpretation, readers will gain better understanding of Chopin’s cello compositions.
