The theoretical framework of this thesis is based on Chinese painting theories. It examines the aesthetic ideas in Chinese paintings, and then uses the Western artistic creations to express cross-references to compare the similarities and differences between Eastern and Western artistic creation. Finally, it pursues the process of artist's experience and perception in the perspective of Phenomenology. It explores the common principles of art and painting, and gives a clearer reference for artistic creation.
