Summary

Colors are key factors to life and make the world bright. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of art teaching, especially the teaching of “colors”. Several preschool children were involved in this study. Based on qualitative research, a classroom observation and interviewed were employed in this research to see what children have learnt and how they used the strategy when drawing.

This research includes two sections: Frist, theory and professional knowledge were probed and a special teaching plan was developed based on those theory. Then, this plan was employed in a kindergarten. The final teaching purpose is to help children have better character.

According to the analysis of the data, this research finds that children benefited a lot from the teaching of color. Compared to previous presentation, they have higher self-esteem and get a better score in the fields of language, scientist, music, and physical movement.
