Virtual City—Study of Paper Lithography Creation

This creative work has been divided into four chapters, with the primary focus of the work being the objects that appear on the street on a daily basis, as well as an examination of the printmaking and spatial possibilities. Initially, the author examined the existence of convenience stores, people's reliance on them, the number of convenience stores on the streets, and why this author would see them everywhere with frequent daily visits. Due to these factors, this author has observed numerous intriguing situations on this street and incorporated them into the artwork.

Imagination has been applied to street objects in order to create a series of works based on the artist's observations of everyday life. The author has experimented with and stretched the limits of collage and printmaking, explaining why utilizing fragmented images for printmaking and creation. This author has been considering and determining how to create prints and expand the work by stitching the plates together. After experimenting with the publication and edition of flat works, this author began experimenting with wall-mounted works. When the scope of creation shifted from plane to space, this author attempted to discuss the relationship between the works and space and created works relating to various methods of perceiving space through two distinct types of games.

Lastly, the author has created and made prints through collage by producing works and continually altering her way of thinking. Through the collage of editions and plates, printmaking is in fact a means to continue the work. The only limitation on printmaking is the inherent mode of creation and thought. People should approach the creation of works from multiple perspectives in order to generate a greater variety of forms.
