This paper is an attempt to question on human living environment and cultural landscape based on the observation of the surrounding landscape and study on geographical chronicles, with a focus on social issues. The Horizon Unbounded series include works with sub themes such as Wandering Through the Aisles, The Rupture, Disappearing Horizon, Ship Hore Channel and Shattered Blueprint, which present image materials of urban and water landscapes by creative media such as video art and new media art installation, and rethink the relationship between urban space, cultural landscape and people through the creative practice process. This creative research method is to summarize and analyze the cultural landscape through literature analysis, qualitative research, fieldwork, creative practice, exhibition and feedback. In particular, the reinterpretation of the concepts of place, space and site is linked to the core of overall creation, trying to define the concepts of de-boundary and decentralization of cultural landscape, and highlight the wandering of human around the boundary of self-control system. Creative research found that the media characteristics of video art and new media art installation are of great significance to reinterpret of cultural landscape of Taiwan, which transcends the existing framework and infuses the local visual with a reversed meaning. On the whole, the works of Horizon Unbounded series have participated in numbers of open exhibitions and won awards, including the first prize in photography and new media awarded in the 2018 Keelung Fine Arts Exhibition by Keelung City Cultural Affairs Bureau, the Next Art Tainan 2020 by Cultural Affairs Bureau, Tainan, the Cross-Domain Art Creation Work by National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts in 2020, the first prize in photography and video awarded in the 2021 Taoyuan Fine Arts Exhibition by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Taoyuan City Government, Made in Taiwan - Recommended Newcomer 2021 by the Ministry of Culture and officially enrolled, and the Horizon Unbounded - Solo Exhibition of Huang Han-Po held by Galerie Grand Siècle in 2022. Relying on the creations, we hope to continue to develop and try more techniques of expression in the future based on the research of video art and creations with new media art installation, and further explore the field of artistic creation of cultural landscapes.
