This creation discussion explores the three experimental development directions of animation from the historical view of experimental animation: visual music (abstract) experiment, media experiment, and academism experiment. The author attempts to make different experimental directions clearer by organizing the historical context. And through the research of other creators of experimental animation, the author goes deep into their inner thoughts, opens up the creative vision of independent animation creators, and obtains creative nutrients from it.

"Fictional True Story", my 2D digital experiment animation, is an imaginary story that the author is placed in a large group of people and develops stories of different individuals in the group. In a non-linear narrative way, the author breaks multiple stories down into several event fragments, depicting behaviors, emotions, and movements of individuals, and the author connects the entire film with the flow of people. Through this fictitious imagination, the author depicts the reality of individual, which encourages the viewer's imagination.
