Abstract

There are total 12 pieces in the repertoire including 1 contemporary folk song, 1 Mandarin art song, 1 vocalist, 2 French melodies, 3 German lieder, and 4 concert arias. The repertoire selected from various composers and styles.

This repertoire includes works in classical period from Franz Schubert (1797- 1828), Carl Weber (1786-1826), Franz Liszt (1811-1886), Giuseppe Verdi (1813- 1901), Giacomo Puccini ( 1858- 1924) and Richard Strauss (1864- 1949) in romantic period, 20th century by Villa-Lobos ( 1887-1959) and impressionism folk songs from Claude Debussy (1862-1918). Five languages includes German, French, Italian and Spanish are in content.

This selection of repertoire is more on Opera Arias, which will be great toughness and challenge in singing skill and physical strength. This is the first time for me to challenge pieces in the performance of chamber music with cello and clarinet. Due to the performing method, I get to know better how to cooperate with other musician in order to achieve the best performing result.

Through the guidance of my teacher, my voice and interpretation of arias and art song has improved. Lastly I hope that I can have a great achievement and success in the music industry.
