From the dawn of history, men ask themselves what their destiny is: quo vadis? “The mist between being sacred and ordinary” is start from concerning for the meaning of life and ultimate destiny of mankind. The author mainly focuses on the thematic relationship between sacrifice and aestheticization in the life. During the process of transformation, the subjective affection or practical concerns are sacrificed in order to achieve an idealistic concept or aesthetic projection.
Art creation is a combination of imagination and reality as well as an interweaving of fantasy and truth. I made use of academic painting style and took faith/Folk Culture as the symbolic element of my work for the interpretation. Arranging the ideas strategically and incorporating the concept of sacrifice in my painting, which reflects the conflicts and contradictions of the times and embodies the life value and true essence of humanity. This painting research has drawn knowledge from Folk and Christian culture, analyzed Western literature and painting schools and interpreted the classical and romantic feelings of myth as expressed in the artworks.
Sacrifice, is not meant to express what is right or wrong or the ethics, but to show the reality and cruelty in the society. The author do not make much criticism in the artworks. What I do is simply to bring forward this reality that commonly exists and to question whether we think about and examine it seriously, or often pretend to ignore it and just let it pass.
The aim of this study is to provide the individuals with the example of the author's perception and values from the religion after therapy through the paintings so that more people may get help therein. Although the process of artistic creation inevitably includes the artists’ own culture and influence from Western aesthetics, these elements make their artworks display more heterogeneous contents, as well as their individual artistic philosophies. Such a multicultural approach has opened up new ways to view art, and has brought a great deal of attention to the development of the religions arts. Finally, In terms of sacrifice we try to understand the role-switching between being “ordinary and divine”
