This thesis consists of three parts: (1) the program notes of the “ Solo Recital” written by the researcher (2) the program notes of the “ Performance Recital“ written by the researcher (3) the research paper presented by the researcher in the “Graduate Students’ Conference” .

The program of the Solo Recital includes: G.F. Handel 《Keyboard Suite HWV434》, L.v Beethoven 《Piano Sonata, op.109》, F. Chopin 《Nocturne, op.27》and C. Debussy 《Estampes》.

The program of the Performance Recital includes: L.v Beethoven 《Andante favorite for Piano in F Major, WoO 57》, C. Saint-Saëns 《Sonata for Clarinet and Piano, Op. 167》, W.A. Mozart 《Sonata for Piano Four-Hands in D major, K. 381》and F. Schubert 《Allegro in a minor "lebensstürme" for Piano Four-Hands, D.947》.

The topic of the research paper being “A Preliminary Study of 〈La soirée dans Grenade〉from C. Debussy’ s 《Estampes》, provides historical background, structural and harmonic analysis of this composition.
