We are affected by the environment where we live, and we also create many life objects, which are not just the existence of an “object”, but are also extremely related to our daily lives. The relationship between environments, I, and objects seem not as simple as their superficial conception. In different environments, we create different objects. Environments and objects are directly connected each other through people.
This thesis is to research the process of creating works and the content in the writer’s works, analyzing how the writer combine life objects with household houses and city spaces, probing into our feelings and experiences to the modern city, and indicating how to turn those feelings and experiences into paining through art creations.
One part of the thesis concerns the analysis of the images of “empty space”. The writer has adopted great numbers of these photographical elements to painting. He analyzes empty space on the basis of theatrical scenes of photographing and movie-shooting. Also, his current works of art are focusing on cities. Thus “city empty space photographing” became one of his major topics, which recorded the moments of the changing city environments, and gave spectators a feeling of indifference in the modern city and nostalgia that has been losing for a while. The writer put the images and life objects that symbolize him altogether in painting to express the sense of being confused and lost among changes in the city environment.
In addition, the relationship between painting and photographing in the writer’s works has been analyzed as well. Painting is creating, and photographing recording; therefore, the writer’s works refer to the combination of photographical images and painting.
