<After the Rain> is a film about Jessica’s past that cannot be erased. Her nightmares keep corroding her life and hovering around her. Once when Jessica received a present on her birthday, she encountered her parents’ fight. From that on, Jessica’s happy family had collapsed and the relationship between Jessica and her father had fallen apart. The influence of this event remains in Jessica’s following life.

Rick is Jessica’s fianc&;eacute;, who endures Jessica’s distrust originated from hatred for her father. With Jessica’s bad luck on her job, the relationship between Rick and her also came to a choke point. Joey is Jessica’s best friend who always stands by her and encourages Jessica to reconcile with her father.

We can always choose to forget the pain of our past. However, it affects our daily life and the relationship between people imperceptibly. This film uses the “rainy season” to symbolize the non-sop memory twisting Jessica’s heart. The rainy season implies a feeling of melancholy but once people free from a state of blueness in mind, the rainy season will not harm anymore. I hope my film can make the audience touched and cure people’s injured heart
