The aim of the thesis is to elaborate the artistic method of Parquetry as well as the theme of “Converting Three-Dimensional Objects into Two-Dimensional Images”. The artist uses the technique of combining variable colors of woods to present a lot of visible three-dimensional objects onto two-dimensional surface. The subjects of the creation are mostly figures familiar to the public, and are divided into natural matter and artificial matter. Moreover, the subjects are further subdivided into five categories related to the artist from big to small scale: “With Nature”, “With Animal”, “With Architecture”, “With People”, “With Object “. The artist uses the concept of projection and perspective when converting

the three-dimensional objects into two-dimensional images, attempting to capture the most representative angle of an object within certain subject and remain its distinct feature, in order to resonate with the public when viewing the work, achieving the best effect of being easily understood by viewers.
