“Fragment．Slice” is a piece of artwork created by the author from 2012-2015. The creation records author’s past life in “Nature Series”, present life in “Story Series” and predicts future life in “Life Series”. These series shows the memories as well as the imagination in the author’s mind. “Fragment．Slice” is a scenery of the author’s life. Based on the concept of time axis, the author shows the past, records the present and thinks about the future. This process is repeated several times, hoping to clear uncertain feelings while the work is being created. First, the author reflects on her childhood to express how past experience had influenced her work; how to learn from the Nature. Some clues could be found from the elements of the pictures. By analyzing and interpreting, we also know how the stories are extended and how life moments are switched adequately. Secondly, both of Redon’s and Munch’s works are exampled to express symbolic meanings and internal feelings. Some parts of “Fragment．Slice” are shown to express the clearance of the work and offer powerful evidence in the direction of creation.
These three series is based on a free portray of scenery. Then, colors and lines are used to extend, undefinably, the pictures in a natural, symbolic and expressive way. The similar part of these three series is that it composes the records, experience and imagination of the author’s life, as well as the author’s internal feelings, emotions and thoughts.
