Animation is an artistic creation combined with images and music. While images are mainly responsible for the story and character, the music accents the emotion that images can’t express. Nowadays, most animation artists invite composers to write for exclusive animation scores, rather than using existing music, including classical music. By designing a 3D animation “Birdy”, I investigate the bond between the three-act structure and ternary form, and take Debussy’s “Arabesque” as the concept. By telling the story of a little parrot, I try to explore the relationship between human and pet.
