While studying at the National Taiwan University of Arts (NTUA), I experimented with different genres of art, such as painting, installation, performance, and video. Also, the work experience and skills I gained from personal hobbies and interests exerted influence on my artistic creation and engagement. The purpose of this study is to provide a clear understanding about the context of my artwork and the influence of the learning environment and interests on the artist and the creation of art, so as to show future directions for creation.

The ideas of my creations are explained through the analysis of works from my time at the university and the research institute, as well as the study of related artworks and theories. In addition, this article offers deep insights into the connection between interests and the creation of art. Chapter 1 introduces my paintings and works made with natural materials. Chapter 2 describes my works for dance performances in motion-pictures. Chapter 3 presents the recall of my past experiences to seek a possible rationale for producing the works introduced in the first two chapters. The study first investigates how narrative presence is affected by the arrangement, spacing, and content of comic panels. It continues with the introduction of the development of Locking—which has empowered me with the fundamentals of dance—and how the basic dance steps correspond to the sound. Then, a list of events is presented, including those that influenced me during my studies at NTUA. Furthermore, works created based on the above study are described in detail in Chapter 4, which have been published as a solo exhibition.

The thorough analysis of my artworks in this study helps me identify the features of my creations and spurs my thoughts about future creations and research. As an art creator, this piece of writing makes me go beyond intuitive creation and learn to think and study deeply.
