The theme of this art works dissertation is " Narrative with images：the mind on

social care", to describe that the author care for "the old, weak, disabled, disease" whom are the vulnerable persons of the society and to arouse the viewer’s empathy for this by the creation of an image series of works. Be subject to the moving of "humanitarian artists' paintings, the revelation affect of Joseph Beuys’ (1921-1986) social sculpture and fraternity of Christ Jesus which inspired me to get this creation motive.

After many years of observation I found that Taiwan has entered the "aging society". The number of helpless and miserable elderly people is increasing, so by

drawing "the mind social care " ：（1）old people series, to describe this phenomenon. We see a lot of older people in the last period of their lives, finally have to rely on a wheelchair, so I use "wheelchair" symbols to represent the elderly and the disabled, then developed （2）wheelchairs series. I create these two series of paintings by the method of which is blend of the realistic style in connotation of surrealism and symbolism. References to Giorgio de Chirico’s（1888-1978） "metaphysical space" to deal with that symbolizes the old and sick who surrounded by the atmosphere of fear, anxiety, and coupled with the painting elements of symbols and color to form narrative paintings. Finally, I analyzed all the works of the author with Iconology and Semiology as the theoretical basis.

dissertation of " Narrative with images：the mind on social care " is in practice the concept of "the art into the life" which the author has always maintained , as well as pay attention to the art of intention rather than its form. The author describe the mind on care of the elderly and disabled by images, and thus stimulate public opinion on this resonate, further to rise the enthusiasm of helping and caring the disadvantaged people of this society, so that we can complete the author’s social responsibility finally !
