Abstract

Art comes from life, and from the understanding, and the environment accounted for a large part of life, influencing people to think, extending personal qualities and inspiration. For example the author, grew up in the south from childhood, going to life in Taipei until entering the Institute, so there are many different from the past experience.

In this thesis, " The Circle of Native material, The Original quality of Circle " as the subject, mainly people move from one environment to another environment. Psychological change, and the original quality of human, when the person changing. The main direction which to explore from during the works of the Institute. "Circle" can be harmony, integrity, expansion, restlessness objects, at the same time as the people themselves and independent entity, whether transferring sites, or changing mental, are showing continuously moving prodigiously or cycle. "Original quality" represent the most primitive, not contrived, as well as the author focuses on modern society, the original quality belong to the essence of each person, also has a range of creative which using of materials and content. When between "round" and "original quality" affect each other, having a very close relationship, and describing the relationships between nature and people, people and things, people and environment.

Because of this relationship is related one by one, and complex fairly. So the author must simplify when creating, the main use of round shape, showing people or things moving and inner transformation, the process is " nothingness ", the material, is the use of the natural characteristics of soil, wood, stone, the mean is the space and the presence is "real".
