In the process of creation, artists need to find a way to deliver the artwork closer to his or her idea. Aesthetic composition is often processed through pattern, symmetry, unity, contrast, etc. Doing so makes the composition more abundant and dramatic.
During this research, we study the relativity in a painting through visual cognition and Gestalt Psychology. When a viewer is looking at an artwork, he or she often uses a subject, an object, a space, or a perspective as a point of origin. The relation between these two is the key element of the composition itself. How these objects and element connect with different manner is the main point of this article emphasis.
This article is discuessed from the perspective of the relation between form and subject, and sorting out the relativity in paintings. I will arrange these forms into ratios and space, texture, color and conduct a systematic structure classification. Then expand then test on the relations in its content, the explanation of the classification system and structure composition. The components of an artwork are built upon a series of basic elements such as shape, space, light source, color, etc. Relativity is the product of the relations in elements of a composition and outside elements. These relations must exist inside a composition at the same time. They are inseparable. Without one another, the relation will break apart.
I collected related information and carry out structural arrangements as a guidance to the performance of a painting.
