In the busy and blind years of confusion, I thought I was a dark moonlight so I attempted to find ways to create my own value. Initially, I helped the artist Chuang, Chih-Hui shoot a documentary, however as I picked up the camera, I see my desire for creation from the lens. Thus I set foot on the self-exploration journey with the media of art. This discussion recorded and explored my search for creative methods. It ried out different media creation experiences and how the creation helped me to understand my own history.

Shooting occasional images in life from a documentary photography, I realized that the creation in an instant could not fully express my inner emotions. So, I tried to convert photographic images into painting creations and painted the gourd in a similar way. However, I was unable to freely sway and stimulate the passion for continued creation. I walked and stopped on the creative journey and stumbled forward. On cause aggregation, I learned “Mind Painting” from the contemporary artist ,Chuang, Chih-Hui. This kind of creation originally allowed the mind to be in a state of blankness. It did not set a theme, did not write real objects, and did not do thinking as well, then one started freedom painting with his heart. After the first draft is completed, in the end, rational thoughts and skills are used to complete the work. There is no frame in “Mind Painting”. Under Master Chuang’s guidance by interesting methods, he not only motivated my desire for creation, but also helped me to explore the subconscious through interpretation of the works. “Mind Painting” is very similar to “Automatism”. The creative concept of Mind Painting is very similar to the automatic skill painting of Automatism. It is also very close to “Mandala Painting”. However, there are differences among them. In this discussion I will explore my own experience.

In creation, I often approach my inner dark side. When I bravely face negative emotions, they will become the material of my creation and be transformed into works. The creative process made me slowly clarify my own inner, at the same time the work was completed. It's like a gift given by God. I look at myself from creation. So, for non-art undergraduates, the transformation of the creative process is the focus of this research. The stories and works behind the scenes are all I would like to tell, because of being without the experience of the ups and downs of life, I cannot walk into the creation. My two solo exhibitions include the photography of quicksand, water lines and the beauty of life, and the dream painting series as the beginning of practical creation rather than final result. By organizing this discussion I understand better that the moon itself does not shine, but it was only brightened during the revolution and non-stop rotation .Who borrows light from whom? Sun and moon are interdependent and they shine day and night. I pray that the research experience of creating and illuminating itself with “The Borrowed Moon light” can also light others.
