一個填補缺口的人

國立臺灣藝術大學 / 舞蹈學系 / Author:Chen, Pei-Yu

The writer of this dissertation participated in the production of “Obsession in Need”, a final year production for 2011, and would be using this product experience as the core of this dissertation.

The production of “Obsession in Need” recruited artists from across many disciplines of the industry including choreographer, composer, performer, stage director and narrator and the idea of this production was based on Igor Stravinsky’s “Stravinsky: The Soldier’s Tale” and developed into a Contemporary Dance led cross-discipline production.

This dissertation employs the theory of acting techniques by first exploring how performers can use their inner emotions to reflect on their outside physique, then in turn allowing the outside body techniques to elicit deeper emotions within which working together may bring the performers to interpret their role more profoundly. In the latter part of this dissertation, the writer focuses on analyzing the experience and interpretation of playing the lead role of “Obsession in Need” and the experience of working with different art masters.

In conclusion, this dissertation hopes to bring performers who would like to attempt in cross-discipline performance an innovative way of thinking through the reflection of the writer’s personal experience in role interpretation and performing career.
