Romanticism has been awakening in nineteen century. Music and Literature can hardly been separated. Therefore, composing of piano character pieces became a trend. The core center of this research is the analysis and Interpretation of Mendelssohn’s Drei Phantasien oder Capricen für das Pianoforte Op.16. The structure can be divided into three parts. Firstly, the comparison of fantasy and capriccio before and after nineteen century. Secondly, background of these three pieces included: first section- Autobiography of Mendelssohn. Second section-composing style of Mendelssohn and general lists of his piano works. Third section, the story as well as publish of op.16. Thirdly, the music structure and specific feature analyses that lead to interpretation.
