Abstract

This thesis consists of two parts, concerning about the graduate recital and the performance recital respectively. The program contents and the program notes are included in both parts.

As for the fifteen pieces performed in the performance recital, they included the Three Songs of the Sea, Op.1 by Roger Quilter (1877~1953)；Nell, Op.18, and Toujours, Op.21 by Gabriel Fauré (1845~1924)；Air Champêtre, Op.46 by Francis Poulenc (1899~1963)；Mandoline , and Les Cloches by Claude Debussy (1862~1918)；Sainte by Maurice Ravel (1875~1937)；Als Luise die Briefe ihres ungetreuen Liebhabers verbrannte, K.520, Abendempfindung, K523, and An Chloë, K524 are all of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's (1756~1791) songs；Allerseelen , Breit über mein Haupt dein schwarzes Haar , and Schlagende Herzen by Richard Strauss (1864~1949)；Vilja-Lied , an aria from《The Merry Widow》by Franz Lehár (1870~1948) , “Ah﹗non credea mirarti….Ah,non giunge”, an aria from《La Sonnambula》by Vincenzo Bellini (1801~1835)。

As for the nine pieces performed in the graduate recital , they included the Four Songs, Op.14 by Roger Quilter (1877~1953)；Cinq Mélodies Populaires Grecque by Maurice Ravel (1875~1937)；La pastorella delle Alpi by Gioacchino Rossini (1792~1868)；Il bacio by Luigi Arditi (1822~1903)；Der Hirt auf dem Felsen,Op.965 by Franz Peter Schubert (1797~1828)；There is a river in the country and The God of Spring by Wut Man Chung (1942～1992)；“Les oiseaux dans la charmille”, an aria from《Les Contes D´Hoffmann》by Jacques Offenbach (1819~1880), “Elle a fui, la tourterelle!”, an aria from《Les Contes D´Hoffmann》by Jacques Offenbach (1819~1880)。
