The Good Days-2

Lian’s life was full of illness; Nevertheless, she could always discover something amusing around her. Those days by taking care for Lian in the hospital, due to her positive attitude towards life, her older sister , Ming , sensed that something inside her had changed. Then she started to know well every familiar things again.Shortly, Ming grasped the left time to fulfill Lian’s little wish after the doctor determined that Lian’s condition worsened.

A few months later, Ming moved back home and stay with her mother. She got the opportunity to go to the university and studied her favorite department then enjoyed the simple life. She finds the drawing Lian left in the book, and recalls the days accompanying with her. She finally realizes seizing the moment is the wonderful time in the life.

〝The Good Days〞, adapted from my true story, was subsidized by ministry of culture. It describes the sisters' feeling and seizing the moment with positive attitude when facing the fear of death. The author reflects himself in the characters and makes up the relationship with families as a farewell to the departed.

This thesis is about the meaning and the making of the short film. In the first chapter, the author explains the motive and purpose of creating, trying to find out the relation between the film and himself. The second chapter is about the review of author's works and pathology, and the author also organizes the literature of adaption to learn the appropriate way of adapting. The following chapter is to develop the script:from the story to the screenplay. The fourth chapter is the conception of the story and visual style. It also shows the whole production work including funding. Finally, the fifth chapter describes the public premiere, and sums up the conclusion of the whole procedure.
