Short film 《Safety Lecture》the notion of creativity and fabrication explain

國立臺灣藝術大學 / 電影學系 / Author:ZHAN, I-WEI

Safety Lecture depicts the day an estranged father-son relationship changes. Although it is fictional, it is a depiction of my own life experiences and growth. From the fieldwork and character imagination in the script refining process to the filming and post-production of the film, I have continuously explored and looked forward to this relationship. Moreover, I am curious about what changes will occur in their future after the story ends, and what we can learn from such a relationship.

This paper explores the origin of film creation, my personal creative trajectory, and my reflections throughout the course of production.

This paper is divided into six chapters:

Chapter1:Introduction, explaining the creative motivation and the process of film development.

Chapter2:Theme Explanation and Literature Review, explaining the referenced texts and film materials used to create this film.

Chapter3:Creation Description, discussing the creative process of script outline, character selection, fieldwork, and character design.

Chapter4:Discussion of the evolution of the form and style of this film, including style setting and performance strategies.

Chapter5:Film Production and Execution Instructions, providing a detailed description of the preliminary preparation and post-production process of this film.

Chapter6:Screening and Review, excerpts from public screening and post screening discussions, feedback, and exploration of issues in the creative process of this film.

Finally, please find attached the full text of the script, staff and acknowledgment list, execution budget table, and shooting schedule for reference.
