This creation is derived from the observation of the living environment since childhood. The fruit trees and vegetables grown in my hometown, as well as the natural elements, change with the seasons. The insects and sparrows feast on them, causing flaws and imperfections in their appearance. This reflects on the imperfection inherent in natural elements and the illusion of perfection, where perfection seems to be the most important pursuit in life, while imperfection is often overlooked as the norm. However, when the imperfections in life are embraced, true beauty can emerge spontaneously, mirroring the process of our own lives. Therefore, through seasonal changes and natural forces, this work illustrates the beautiful state of mind brought about by imperfections and the passage of time.
The author's creative discussion encompasses methodology, themes, motivations, and purposes. It is analyzed and discussed based on relevant literature and academic theories from Eastern and Western art traditions. This process has inspired the author to re-examine the value of beauty, explore emotional issues on a spiritual level, and articulate explicit creative ideas and connotations. The main ideological framework and conception aim to explain real-life phenomena and depict the indescribable inner world. Art can not only beautify life but also serve as a window to heal the soul. Using oil paint and acrylic media, there is a leaping transformation and growth in form and color, from complexity to simplicity. Subtraction serves as the guiding form of expression throughout the thematic series in this body of work. There are no birds and butterflies to introduce dynamic vision, highlighting the author's unique style.
Style and recognition are the important core of artistic creation, as well as the mind and soul of the creator. The author aspires to become an intriguing soul with boundless artistic energy. With more sophisticated techniques and an open mind, this creation is intended to evoke inner reflection and resonance in the viewer.
