The essay is based on the creations during graduate school; through reading related publications, sorting out information, writing personal ideals, and the practice of creation, to further study the process and record of transforming texts and images into artworks.

My creation linked the memories of past with daily photographs taken by myself, and returned to the past perspective to talk to my past-self as a viewer. Also, to write with the characteristics of photographs, emphasize the light function, and to understand the image output by the moment decided by the photographer. As to the photographs interpretation, the viewers would respond with personal memory and the imaginations within. My creation also proposed the idea and perspectives for the importance of “daily”, as daily figures and daily scenes are the two content aspects of my work.

My personal choice of creative media involves in the relationships between photography, painting and printmaking, while to use patch and lamination as the production form, then make “clear” and “fuzzy” as the effects created by the artworks. The purpose is to create distance with reality when viewing the artworks.
