The object of study in this paper is Forlan from Le tombeau de Couperin composed by Maurice Ravel. This paper consists of five chapters: a preface, an introduction to the composer's life and works, the creation background of“Le tombeau de Couperin”, to probe into the composing techniques and music styles of Forlane , a review of the stylistic features of the work with a study of interpretation in performance.
