According to the description of Henri Frederic Amiel , a moral philosopher ,poet , and critic .“Any landscape is a condition of the sprit ”which means that the aesthetics originates from our spirit. If a beautiful thing without your mind reflection, it is not the concern of aesthetics. The Taichung Park is a very important part of the life memories for citizens in Taichung. It carries the trace and vicissitudes of the history and it witness to the changing of migration, landscape and culture as well. Due to these stories and memories, they form the appreciation of The Taichung Park today. Therefore, the purpose of the research presented in this article is to record the rise and fall of The Taichung Park.

The methods of carrying out this study were qualitative research through a literature review. The reference collection includes east and west histories of garden, the development of garden in Taiwan, The Taichung Park’s cultural history, and the concepts of paintings expression in the east and west. These data are the testimony of my following creation.

After the series of reviewing, results of study showed that although the Taichung Park has loosen the glory of the past, transforming into an unattractive park judging from its old infrastructure, it still has an irreplaceable status which contains the most richest history, culture, and ecology in the central of Taiwan. What I observed and thought was exhibited in my paintings.
